This transaction represents a strategic minority investment by General Atlantic in one of India’s leading home-grown packaged snacks platforms.
Balaji Wafers is one of India’s largest packaged snack brands, offering a diverse portfolio across namkeen, Western snacks, potato wafers, etc., with strong consumer acceptance across various segments. Over the years, it has successfully scaled its operations from its home base in Gujarat to become a leading player across multiple states in India. In addition to its strong domestic footprint, Balaji Wafers exports its products to approximately 25 countries globally.
