BackKhaitan & Co acted as India counsel and advised Startek Inc. on cross-border merger of Startek Inc. with CCI Consulting FZCO and CCI Enterprises FZCO to create a scaled, PE-backed global customer experience (CX) platform. The transaction involved a complex multi-jurisdictional merger structure spanning the United States and UAE, with integration of multiple global subsidiaries.
The Firm advised on the following aspects: (i) conducting India-leg due diligence on the Indian subsidiaries of the Startek Group; (ii) facilitating and coordinating the legal due diligences of various subsidiaries of the Startek Group in the Australia, Honduras, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, and USA; and (iii) advising on structuring and competition law aspects.
