BackKhaitan & Co advised RR Kabel on its acquisition of the business of manufacture and sale of Optical Fibre and related cables (“Business Undertaking”) from the U M Cables Ltd (Seller),a wholly owned subsidiary of a listed entity (Usha Martin Limited), by way of a slump sale.
The proposed acquisition marks RR Kabel’s entry into the Optical Fibre Cable segment and is an important step in expanding RR Kabel’s presence in the broader communication cables market. It will complement RR Kabel’s existing cable portfolio and broaden its range of solutions across communication infrastructure applications.
The Firm advised RR Kabel on all legal aspects of the transaction.
