BackKhaitan & Co advised U M Cables Ltd (“U M Cables”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Usha Martin Ltd, on the sale of its optical fibre and related cable manufacturing and sales business to RR Kabel Limited (“RR Kabel”) through a slump sale.
U M Cables is a wholly owned subsidiary of Usha Martin Limited and is engaged in the manufacture and sale of optical fibre and related cables.
RR Kabel is a leading Indian wires and cables manufacturer. The transaction marks RR Kabel’s entry into the optical fibre cable segment and expands its presence in the broader communication cables market.
