Khaitan & Co advised Reliance Industries Ltd ("RIL") in connection with its strategic partnership with Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”) for the development of Meta’s first AI-enabled data centre in India. Pursuant to the partnership, RIL will develop a built-to-suit 168 MW hyperscale data centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which Meta will lease to support its artificial intelligence and computing requirements. RIL will provide end-to-end services for the facility, including design, construction, utility management, renewable power supply, network connectivity, and managed services.

The Firm advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, including structuring, preparation and negotiation of project and commercial documentation, regulatory and compliance matters, and transaction execution support.
